One Direction’s album, Up All Night has become the first album of 2012 to hit Platinum! Their “Up All Night-The Live Tour” has gone 3x Platinum, also the first in 2012 to have done so! Congrats guys! You deserve it!
One Direction are not slowing down when it comes to crafting music. The band member Niall Horan recently stated that they have already begun working on their second studio installment in between their tight schedule of Up All Night Tour dates.
“We’ve been recording already, actually. When we came back from Australia, we had a couple weeks off and then we went straight into the studio to get cracking on the next album,” he told MTV News. “And then last week we were in L.A. and we had five days off the tour to record in L.A. so we recorded more there.”
The five-piece group expect to finish the album at the end of summer for a targeted fourth-quarter release. The first single of their sophomore set, meanwhile, is planned to be released in September this year as Horan spilled, “Then obviously we’ve got to make a decision for a single soon, ’cause we have to get a single out towards September, I suppose.”
